Vitalistic Therapeutic Charter School of the Lehigh Valley, a regional charter school, is an outgrowth of Vitalistic Therapeutic Center, Inc., founded in 1972. The Center is a nonprofit organization which provides educational and therapeutic services to children with various disabilities, developmental delays and social/emotional needs. The organization has had a long, uninterrupted history of providing vital services to these children and their families in the Lehigh Valley. Concurrency, it has expanded to meet the increasing needs of local cities. Through networking with many human service providers, schools and government agencies, the Center has become known as a highly professional organization with a proven track record and caring, excellent staff.

Naomi H. Grossman founded Vitalistic Therapeutic Center, Inc. in 1972. She saw a need within the community for a program that addressed both the educational, as well as developmental and emotional needs of a child. Her first school was located in a church on Tilghman Street in Allentown. There were a total of six children, transported from their homes to school each day in her Volvo station wagon! Interest and enrollment grew, so she quickly had to relocate to a larger facility. In 1989 she added a second site. In 2000 she opened one of the first Charter Schools in the Lehigh Valley. Both our Pre-School and Charter School offer parents an alternative choice that combines an educational and therapeutic approach to school. Mrs. Grossman provides direction for both facilities as Executive Director and CEO.
