Graduate Testimonials

Susan Haggerty - “2004 graduate of the Paralegal Program and in the spring will be attending Cedar Crest College for my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.   I started the program in 1999 at night and was absolutely petrified of learning a new “language.”  I had worked in a bank, a trucking firm and as a waitress, but never imagined when I started the Paralegal program, that I would be working in a law firm and serving the public in so many ways.  I had three goals when I started the program – to get my Associate’s degree, work for an attorney with whom I have a great rapport, and to have my own office.  Thanks to the Paralegal program, I obtained my goals.

The program and people who I met gave me confidence in myself in obtaining my goals.  The program prepared me for the legal and business skills that I would need, along with the knowledge of how to prepare legal documents, conduct client interviews, communicate effectively to the public and co-workers, perform research and many other services that a paralegal performs.

Like the billboards say about Lehigh Carbon Community College - ‘Start here, go anywhere’ - it’s true!”

Denise A. Hart - “I am a litigation paralegal at Swartz Campbell, LLC, an insurance defense law firm.  I graduated from the Paralegal Studies program at LCCC in May, 2004.  The knowledge I gained through my paralegal classes has enabled me to perform my job with confidence.  I have been taught the skills necessary to perform whatever task is required, and the expertise to research for the answer, if needed.

The requisite classes in the program were well considered into the schedule, allowing for the graduate to gain exposure in many different areas of law.

I encourage anyone considering a career as a paralegal to enroll in the Paralegal Studies Program at LCCC.  It will be one of the best decisions you’ve ever made!”

Dan Herman - “The Paralegal Program at LCCC is a fantastic foundation for anyone seeking a career in the legal field.  The courses taught by the knowledgeable and helpful faculty are challenging and effective in preparing the students for the rigors of the day-to-day functions of the law office environment.”
