This is a partial listing of opportunities. Jobs are available in manufacturing facilities, repair and service facilities, and field services at customer locations.
Q: What kind of salary can I expect?
A: Salaries for associate degree graduates of electronics programs can range from $25,000 to $40,000 depending on the industry and the qualifications and experience of the graduates.
Q: Can I get a 4 year Bachelor’s degree based on the electronics courses at LCCC?
A: Yes. You can add additional credits to your associates degree and obtain a Bachelor’s degree from Temple University. All the additional courses to obtain the degree are available at LCCC. There are other colleges where you can add two more years of education to the associates degree and obtain a 4 year degree in Engineering Technology. These schools include the Harrisburg campus of Penn State University and Rochester Institute of Technology.
Q: What courses are important to take in high school?
A: A good mathematics background is very helpful. Technicians are expected to do calculations involving algebra and some trigonometry. These mathematics courses are a part of the electronics programs at LCCC so some high school background is a plus.
